Narrative Expansion · Kafka Effect Universe

KAFKA EFFECTCOMICS

The stories that exist between the game chapters. Comics that expand the universe for players and non-players alike — same world, different medium, no barrier to entry.

Volume I

The Kafka Incident

The origin story. The fracture that split reality into multiple worlds. The moment that created everything players will inherit in Kafka Effect.

In Production
Volume II

Factions

Three factions. Three interpretations of the Incident. The world before the game begins — told from perspectives players will never see in-game.

Announced
Volume III

The Souls

The bridge between Kafka Effect and Souls of Kafka. The characters that exist on both sides of the mobile divide.

Planned

Why Comics?

The Kafka Effect universe is too large for a single medium. Comics allow the lore to grow independently of development cycles. Stories can be told in parallel, filling the spaces between game events, giving depth to factions, characters, and worlds that the game can only hint at.

Living Lore

Every comic issue is canon. Events in the comics affect the game world. Factions that rise and fall in the pages influence the balance of power in Kafka Effect. The two mediums are not separate — they are the same universe, read differently.

No Controller Required

Comics are the accessibility layer of the Seed Incident universe. You do not need to have played the game to follow the story. You do not need to understand Web3 to be invested in the characters. The universe is open to all entry points.
